Carl E. Olson is editor of Catholic World Report and Ignatius Insight. He is the author of Did Jesus Really Rise from the Dead?, Will Catholics Be “Left Behind”, co-editor/contributor to Called To Be the Children of God, co-author of The Da Vinci Hoax (Ignatius), and author of the “Catholicism” and “Priest Prophet King” Study Guides for Word on Fire. He is also a contributor to “Our Sunday Visitor” newspaper, “The Catholic Answer” magazine, “The Catholic Herald”, “National Catholic Register”, “Chronicles”, and other publications.

• What got you interested in the evidence for the Resurrection that led to your book?
• Some people say it’s silly to argue for the Resurrection because we cannot give historical evidence that a miracle occurred. Historians don’t deal with miracles. How can we respond to that?
• Dan Barker made two objections to the Resurrection in his debate with Trent Horn:
  • We can’t trust the Gospel stories because they are just obviously contradictory.
  • The women at the tomb don’t count as evidence for anything because women were always at tombs in the ancient world.
  • How would you respond to each of those objections?
• Which naturalistic theory about the Resurrection do you think is the most plausible and what do you think is ultimately wrong with it?
• What are theosis and deification and do those relate to the Resurrection?
• What should Catholics think about all of the scandals currently rocking the Church?
